A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Zolab uses cookies to help Zolab identify and track visitors, their usage of Zolab website, and their website access preferences. Zolab visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using Zolab’s websites, with the drawback that certain features of Zolab’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Zolab collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Zolab’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Zolab’s visitors use its website. Zolab utilizes both BigCommerce and Google Analytics services to capture and analyze non-personally-identifying information.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Zolab’s websites choose to interact with Zolab in ways that require Zolab to gather personally-identifying information. Those who create a Zolab account and those who engage in transactions with Zolab are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. Zolab collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Zolab. Zolab does not disclose personally-identifying information. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities. When you provide Zolab with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

Zolab discloses potentially personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Zolab’s behalf or to provide services available at Zolab’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Zolab’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Zolab will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Zolab discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when Zolab believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Zolab, third parties or the public at large.

Zolab takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Zolab’s website is hosted on BigCommerce. They provide Zolab with the online e-commerce platform that allows Zolab to sell products to you. Your data is stored through BigCommerce’s data storage, databases, and the general BigCommerce application. They store your data on a secure server.

If you provide Zolab with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

Third Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by Zolab will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to Zolab. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or Zolab. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located. As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act. Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Use.
